With deep roots in Carleton Place and a track record of service on key regional boards, I bring proven, practical community leadership to every decision I’m part of.
I currently serve on the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) Board, helping guide decisions on watershed management, flood prevention, and land use that balance environmental protection and stewdship with the needs and protection of local residents.
I also serve on the Lanark County OPP Detachment Board, working with police leadership and community partners to set policing priorities and ensure local policing remains responsive, transparent, and focused on the safety and wellbeing of our town.
Since moving to town in 2006 I have contributed to multiple local boards and committees, including being a founding member and Chair of the Carleton Place Environmental Advisory Committee (CPEAC)
and a member of the Urban Forest River Coridor Commitee.
I have been the past chair of the Carleton Place Youth Centre Board and the Downtown Buisness Improvement Area (BIA).
I am also an active member of Carleton Place Chamber of Commerce and a new member of the Roy Brown Legion.
I always have the the same approach: listen carefully, weigh different viewpoints, and push for practical, balanced solutions that keep Carleton Place moving forward. This combination of business ownership, municipal experience, and board work gives me a proven track record of community leadership grounded in real‑world impact, not titles.
I would be happy to discuss the positive impacts and contributions these organizations have made to our community. I am proud of what we have accomplished.
